Our semi-independent houses are staffed 24-hours by members of our highly-trained team with high definition CCTV. All staff members are enhanced DBS cleared. All of our properties are maintained to a high standard, complying with the latest health and safety specifications which ensure our provisions compile with the relevant H&S regulations. We are keen to maintain a clean, fresh and secure environment in each of our homes, to ensure each young person feels safe and at home. Our rooms contain a bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe, bedding, fridge, sink, shower and bath room with toilet, wash basin and communal kitchen.
Service user support is increased or decreased as required and in consultation with the placing authority to meet individual needs. We consider emergency placements on a case-by-case basis through our (24 hour) referral process and our counsellors will undertake a risk assessment within 24 hours to determine the level of support and structure the young person requires to identify and implement a support plan to assist the progress positively towards independence within our services.
We use a range of models and frameworks as the one size approach does not meet the needs of young people who are diverse, unique and on occasions simply misunderstood.
Key-working sessions will develop a wide range of skills in areas of need to develop a safe level of independence so that they can safely transition into their next destination of independence.
Their transition will also include an introduction to our outreach programme that we provide, continuing to support young people in the future where necessary.
